The colour choice of black maximises audience' focus on the circular path. If the artist uses the golden-yellow on sketch papers, audience may miss the point of 'sum of all possibilities'(combination patterns) and see the sculpture as a whole-a glowing moving loop. The accuracy of the infinite process emphasises the title and challenges the difficulties of gathering all the possibilities without any intervention. The artist did calculate all the possible combinations of the loop. It makes the audience to think about 'the close and paradoxical relationship between time and perception, movement and finitude, form and flux'.From http://troika.uk.com/work/calculating-the-universe/

Charles Pétillon
Pétillon uses overflowing white balloons to alter the vision of boring ordinary spaces and locations in people's eyes, to 'make it possible to go beyond practical perception to aesthetic experience: a visual emotion'.From http://www.dezeen.com/2015/02/18/charles-petillon-invasions-installations-white-balloons-abandoned-spaces/ The crowded white balloons in varied sizes look like gas and water molecular in the air. They concretes the space, or the air, or the memory associated with the particular site.
The whiteness helps Pétillon to create a poetic accumulation of balloons which in contrast to the materials of the location. The flow of balloons together with the contrast keep audience's eyes on the familiar structures(a house, a swimming pool, a play field, etc.) for a much longer time and with more interest. Instead of moving image, in this case, photograph suites the situation since balloons/leaves on trees/water waves in motion could be plenty of distraction from the structure itself(a house, a swimming pool, a play field, etc.).
